No, it’s not an ancient recipe from my grandfather’s attic. However, it doesn’t mean we don’t have a tradition in the distillation of gin. This is shown by an old document from my grandfather’s days in 1925 and various Extra Dry Gin labels.
The search for clues, on my grandfather’s ingredient base, has always presented us with great challenges. We would argue that we have been able to fine-tune it with today’s distillation techniques.
Our JURA Gin undoubtedly contains the queen of botanicals – juniper berry, which sets the flavor and is accompanied by high-quality of other organic botanicals, such as coriander, orris root, various florals and peels of citrus fruits.
The traditional characteristically taste of a classic gin can be found in a balance between a soft juniper note and the harmonious pronounced citrus.
We have accepted this challenge and made it a true/reality.
- Produced according to the traditional known London Dry method.
- Maceration of the various botanicals and a multiple distillation.
- A total of 11 botanicals are 100% distilled without further additions!
